last day in spain...

last night jose and i had dinner with 13 friends of his from university. i did ok with my spanish, so i thought...
at dinner there was a big bottle of vodka on the table and jose offered me some and i said no thanks and he poured himself a small glass. later i saw one of the girls pour herself a large glass and drink it down so quickly! She was very small and i thought, wow, how can she do that. apparently when jose offered me some he thought i knew it was water but when i said no he realized i didn´t know. someone then thought it would be funny to see what i thought of their drinking all that "vodka". who puts water in a vodka bottle? well i didn´t catch the comment. everyone was having small glasses so i just assumed it was vodka. i thought that until this morning when i made a comment about vodka and he started laughing.

today is our last day in spain. i´m sad to leave with no new shoes. there are so many cute shoes but, i was able to restrain myself as difficult as it was.

jose is working for a few hours today and we leave tomorrow morning for one night in london and then on to bangkok on monday. i finally got over my jet-lag and now i have to do it all over again!
once again i can´t post any pictures today. i hope i have good luck in thailand! i guess i won´t write again until we are in bangkok. we are staying at Nana Plaza Inn on Khaosan Rd. for the first two nights. after that, we don´t know.
