Hello, we are in Hat Noppharat Thara about 30 minutes from Krabi. We are in a pretty quiet location staying in a bungalow. There is a town not to far away (10-15 min. walk) that is pretty populated. This area became very popular after the 1999 movie The beach. It's unfortunate because it has kind of spoiled it. Luckily there are still a few places that are quiet and you can still see some nature.

This blog was originally created for my travels through Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Burma in 2007. A few months after the trip, during the September protests in Burma, I decided to continue with it to better educate myself and help in the spread of information about Burma, in which there has not been enough.
