hi, it´s around 11am, i am at jose´s school and these computers don´t have a place to plug in my camera. i will have to try in an internet cafe.
the weather is nice again today, 60´s. everyone is dressed as if they are in chicago though. jose says spanish people don´t care about the temperature, just the calender. if this were chicago everyone would be in shorts.
my spanish is not great but somehow i have been communicating with jose´s parents. his mom is going to make paella for lunch. she is from valencia where paella originated so she knows how to do it right. tonight we are going to jose´s friends house for dinner. jose and i are cooking chile and bringing it over. he said there will be 9 of his friends coming. wish me luck with my spanish!!!!

Hi Jeanne. This is so cool I think I want a blog too. Although it would not be as exciting as yours. Glad you made it despite annoying flight companions. When do you start traveling? Where are you going first? Please send us some spanish sunshine. It was 1 degree in CO when we woke up today. It has warmed up, though, to 3! Charlie has cut his second tooth, and Audrey is sick with strepthroat-like symptoms. I will try to get your absent-minded brother to write to you.
Take care, Andrea
Hi Jeanne and Jose too. Glad this seems to be working. I sent your blog site to family. Joanne e-mailed that a woman at a beauty shop she goes to is from Vietnam and says her family there would take you for a tour in their city. John was stationed there as well. Your Spanish should get better fast if you "have" to speak it. Good luck!
Hi Jeanne,
I meant to call you before you left...but then all of a sudden it was the day after you left! I love reading about your experiences, and you've only been gone a few days! This IS going to be an exciting 3 months. Anyway, my thoughts are with you and Jose. Have a GREAT time and stay safe. Love, Nancy (Jeff, Ellie & Abbie too of course).
