we are in sukhothai. got here around 5:30pm. it was a very long trip. it took around 7 1/2 hours to go 300km on a train and then a bus. we rode 3rd class on the train for around $4 each. i can't get over what a crazy experience the train is... people getting on and off selling food that looks home made and very strange, the windows are down so while the train is moving pieces of paper and ash are flying in the windows, we think from burning garbage?
it's going on 8pm and we are starving so we are going to find some food. we are not sure how many days we will be here but no more than 3. bye for now

Hey Jeannie,
I thought that you were used to the spanish public transportation. In Spain, 300 km is always a 5 hours trip... at least.
Surely, Jose has a good training.
Just one more thing: At the moment, my favorite picture of both blog's, is the one of you sitting on you knnes in Ayutthaya. Really nice.
En beso para ti y un abrazo para Jose (I can’t translate it)
I wanted to say "on your knees"...
I just love reading about your adventures. I might just have to get myself a translator so we can read Jose's blog too. I'll send the link to Matt and make him read it back to me in english.
It's been very cold here, in the teens or below at night. A dusting of snow and very dry air. Enjoy the heat and humidity. Send more pictures of monkeys.
YES! More monkeys! I want to see the monkeys that sit down to eat at a table with plates and menus.
thanks carlos, i really like that photo too!
Matt... sorry about not getting better monkey pics but they were crazy. jose and i were trying to stay away from them while the thai people were sitting on the street under them eating dinner. it was very strange and normal at the same time.
