Sa Pa
Hello! we are in Sa Pa, pretty close to China. It's foggy and rainy here, around 45 to 55 degrees. It's beautiful but we can't see too much. We went for a hike today past some hilltribe villages. Tomorrow we are going to find some more villages to hike to. It's a quick stay here though. We took a night train here and just staying one night. Tomorrow night we take another night train back to Hanoi. I'll write more about what we have done in the north when we get back to Hanoi. Internet is terrible in Sa Pa. We can not open our blogs in many places. Most places only have windows 95. We are at a restaurant now that offers free internet to customers so I can't take too much time.

Glad to finally hear from you. I was getting worried. You know how mothers are.
We are finally getting some good weather. We are leaving on Thursday for Colorado. Can't wait to see Audrey and Charlie. (Mike and Andrea too but they don't change as much)
I can't believe that it will be April in just less than two weeks.
I know you will feel strange coming home but we are anxious to hear first hand your adventures and see the pictures you were not able to post. I know it was hard to scroll through them on such slow computers and try to find the ones you wanted to post. You will have to get them on a disc so we can view on TV.
Love You,
Mom
Jeanne,
I google earthed Sa Pa and couldn't come up with anything. On Jose's site he mentioned Lao Cai and I found that on the China border. Is Sa Pa a very small town?
Mom
Yes, Sa Pa is pretty small. it's about 30km south-west from Lao Cai.
When we were waiting for our train back to Hanoi we walked to see China. We were able to see lights across the river at least. Now we can say we walked to China.
People should read this.
